In an effort to combat growing fatigue and burnout, Kerrigan Restoration will close December 23rd, 2023 to take an extended break to rest and recharge. The studio will reopen February 1st, 2024.

As a one-person operation, it is more common than not to constantly be at work: weekdays, weekends, holidays, etc. If I'm lucky, I get one day a week where I don't go into the studio, which is rare. Two days in a row (like a whole weekend) is almost unheard of. This does not represent a sustainable work/life balance. Additionally, it is affecting the quality of my work which I can no longer allow.

Going forward, I'll be adjusting how I work and how I schedule out projects to allow myself more consistent periods of rest, even if they are fairly brief. (Working just six days a week would be a huge improvement!) Finding the right balance to do this may take some time to dial in but should result in being more refreshed and focused better on the task at hand as well as higher quality work.

During this closure, Kerrigan Restoration will not be answering any phone calls, texts, or emails. Essentially, the phone and computer are being turned off. If you have a time sensitive message, please make sure to send it before the closure. All messages will be responded to after Feb. 1st (please be patient, it might take some time to get to all of them).

Apologies for any inconvenience this closure may have, but it is necessary to ensure I can continue this work for many years to come.

Best,
